Remembering Anthony Robitaille

Robitaille, Anthony (Tony) Rene Joseph

November 17, 1956 – July 10, 2026

Tony passed away peacefully at Tomkins House in Penetanguishene on July 10, 2026, after a long and courageously fought battle with cancer. He leaves behind his devoted wife Lisa of 26 years; his children Jesse (Kim), Jennifer (Austin), Paul (Cassidy) and Ben (Malorie); his grandchildren Tatum, Leo, Adrien and Remy; his siblings Donald, Suzanne, Kenneth, Gregory, Charles and the late Michelle; and his sisters‑in‑law Margaret and Donna.

Tony lived with purpose, love and humour. Nothing meant more to Tony than his family, and he worked tirelessly throughout his life to ensure they were cared for. Tony helped anyone in need and often offered that help before they would ask. He loved music, travel, dancing, conversation and telling a joke, usually laughing the loudest at his own punchlines.

Tony will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, neighbours and the many people whose lives he touched with his generosity, warmth and moments of sincere connection.

Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday July 20 at St. Margaret’s Church, 589 Hugel Ave. in Midland followed by a reception luncheon on site.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Huronia – Tompkins House in gratitude for the compassionate care that Tony and his many visitors received.
