Remembering Eleanor Marilyn Allison (nee Herron)

Peacefully, in her 88th year, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s at Spencer House in Orillia on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. She was a graduate of the Kingston General Hospital School of Nursing Class of ’59. Eleanor was a long time member of Kingston Kinette Club and the Kingston Curling Club. Pre-deceased by beloved husband “Ace” Albert Allison. Loving mother of Steve (Trina) of Plevna, Jeff (Glenda) of Calgary, and Mark (Melissa) of Orillia. Pre- deceased by parents Delmar and Evelyn Herron of Kingston and sister Helen (Bill) Johnson of Ottawa. Sister of Howard (Pauline) Herron of Kingston. Loving Grandmother to Stephanie, Sonia, Braeden, Jarrett, Cassidy and Tyler and Great Grandmother to Charlotte, Arlo and Maisie. Special Thank You to the wonderful and caring staff at Spencer House.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on June 8, 2025 from 12 - 3 PM at the Royal Kingston Curling Club, 130 Days Rd., Kingston.

Private Internment at the Allison Mausoleum and Cemetery in Adolphustown, Ontario.

As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Eleanor may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada and may be made through Carson Funeral Home, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia (705) 326-3595.

Have a couple connections to the Herron family; knew Eleanor & Ace many yrs. ago @ RKCC, friends with Howard & Pauline and I believe my daughter is with her daughter in law Glenda right now on a 'girl's weekend away!
