Remembering Lois Carter

Passed  away  peacefully at her residence in Udney on Monday January 16, 2023 in her 95^th year. Beloved wife of  Bill (predeceased). Loving and devoted mother of Gregory (Cheryl), Rob, Ralph (predeceased) Janice, Brenda (Bill), and Brian. Proud and loving Nana of Michelle (Geoff), Ryan, Kelsey (Chris), Kara (Marty), Jason (Sheri), Elizabeth, Elliott (Kennedy), and great grandchildren Caleigh, Alise, Harper and Carter. Daughter of the late J.A. and Belle Mundie who owned Mundies General Store in Udney for many years. She and her late Husband William took over the family business when her father passed in 1958 until 1975 when they closed due to business slowdown.  From childhood to her passing Lois lived in her family home in Udney. After  retirement at the store she was able to enjoy the passions within her, cooking and baking the most beautiful meals. The kitchen was her domain and she always welcomed people in her home with a plate of food in front of them whether it was family or friends. Her motto in life to her family became “Feed the Men!”  Mom was kind, generous, a wonderful story teller, and loved by everyone. She was a long time member of the UCW,  Womens Institute of  Udney and volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society. Cremation will take place and a graveside interment service will take place in the spring of 2023 at the Udney Cemetery when Lois will be laid to rest beside her dear husband Bill. Arrangements entrusted to the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes 54 Coldwater Street E., Orillia, Ontario 705- 326-3595. The family would like to take this opportunity to especially thank the nurses and PSW’s that stayed with mom from the beginning to the end and who had that special bond with her, Thank you It means so much!  If desired, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County or The Canadian Cancer Society and are greatly appreciated.
