Remembering Selina Leah Kielly

Peacefully at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital in Orillia, with her beloved Mom Judith Kielly by her side, Selina Leah Kielly passed from this life on Friday, September 1, 2022 at the age of 42. Selina was born on March 5, 1980 and lived with her Mother Judith and her Father, the late Harvey Kielly and her cat Grady.  Selina's zest for life was apparent to all who knew her; she was an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and the Raptors teams and tried to never miss a televised game. Although Selina was disabled by Spina Bifida, the disability never stopped her from enjoying life to it's fullest.  She enjoyed shopping local at Mariposa Market and Farmgate as well loved getting farm fresh eggs from local area farmers.  She was a fan of homemade grape jelly and posted on Facebook pictures of some of the wonderful meals that she loved. Selina loved animals and was a favorite neighbor to all of her canine friends in the area, as well as their owners.  Many of the pooches, while out walking with their owners would just naturally turn in at Selina's driveway for a visit. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Comfy Cat Shelter in Orillia would be appreciated. She was a wonderful friend to her many friends and neighbors, and will be missed by her social media friends. Selina was an inspiration to others to be strong in the face of adversity, to be an outspoken advocate for the rights of the disabled and never fear what others may think or say.  Selina was instrumental in having the road she lived on paved so that it would be safer for people like herself in wheelchairs, as well as working to get an elevator installed in the Neighborhood Clubhouse where she lived.  It was wonderful for her to be able to join in the neighborhood gatherings. Selina may be gone but she will never be forgotten by those who loved her.  She will be greatly missed, and in the hearts of those blessed to have known her. Deepest sympathies extended to her Mother Judith, and to Selina's friends and family.
