Remembering Linda Marie Duncan (nee Hyde)

December 27, 1941- June 20, 2014 After a long and courageous battle with cancer, passed away at home in her 73rd. year with her daughters, Leanne and Lisa (Jones) by her side. Predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend of 50 years, Ray Duncan, her mother Marie Hyde and her best friend, Dale Sutherland. Cherished mother-in-law of Aaron Jones. The best nanny ever to her heartbeat Scotlynn. Loving sister to Georgina Newell and her husband Ted and brothers-in-law William and Donald. Special thanks to Linda Larcina for her unwavering faith and comfort she brought to mom. Sadly missed by her nieces, great nieces, great nephew, extended family and her many friends. She was a woman who possessed heroic strength and determination and was a positive influence to everyone she met. Very few people are fortunate enough to even know someone so awesome in their lifetime, let alone call them wife, mom, nanny, sister, aunt, friend. Not a day will go by that we won't think of you, love you more. Deepest gratitude to her family physician, Dr. E. Jesin, the doctors, nurses, and health care providers at North York General Hospital, Community Care Access Centre and Hospice Orillia for their support and encouragement during Linda's treatment. As requested by Linda, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Oncology Department of North York General Hospital or Hospice Orillia would be appreciated.
