Pilkey, Donald “Pilk”
March 23, 1954 – November 1, 2026
Donald “Pilk” Pilkey passed away suddenly, yet peacefully, on November 1, 2026, at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones, Maggie Beach and Emma Hinds (Tyler Langford).
Don was predeceased by his parents, Roy and Marian Pilkey.
Born in Barrie, Ontario, Don grew up in Oro and the surrounding areas. A farmer at heart, he had a deep passion for the land and animals. Throughout his life, he wore many hats, including working in maintenance at a marina and a golf course. A man of many talents, there wasn’t much he couldn’t do.
Don will be remembered for his quick wit, infectious humour, and ability to make anyone laugh. A true jokester with a heart of gold, our beloved “Mr. Piggy” brought laughter wherever he went. He loved his snowmobile and was always ready for an adventure in the snow.
Don lived life with laughter, adventure, and kindness. He was an exceptional partner and friend who will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.
In keeping with Don’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no funeral service or formal arrangements.
Arrangements entrusted to Carson Funeral Home in Orillia.
