Sandra passed away peacefully in Orillia, Ontario, on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at the age of 82.
Sandra was predeceased by her beloved husband of 59 years, Lindsay. She leaves behind her cherished daughters, Tanya (Rick), Tracey (Dave), and Tina; her treasured grandchildren, Jacob, Kate, Drew, Matthew, and Kennedy; and her lifelong best friend, Lee Watt.
Throughout her life, Sandra called Maple, Richmond Hill, Toronto, and Newmarket home. Yet the place that held her heart was the family cottage on Bonnie Beach. It was there, on the shores of Lake Simcoe, that she met Lindsay, the love of her life. Together, they built a lifetime of memories, spending weekends, holidays, and eventually their retirement at the cottage they loved so dearly.
Sandra found joy in life's simple pleasures and in the people she loved most. Whether enjoying time by the lake or gathering with family, she created a warm and welcoming home wherever she was. Bonnie Beach remained a constant source of happiness, where countless memories were made with children, grandchildren, family, and friends.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Isabel Li, Dr. Dancy, and Sherry Anne (Bayshore Home Health) for the care Sandra received in recent years, as well as to the physicians, nurses, and staff at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital for the compassionate care and kindness they provided during her final weeks.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Sandra's memory.
