Gary Meredith of Orillia passed away peacefully at Trillium Manor Home in Orillia on September 7, 2026, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Ruth Meredith, with whom he shared 72 wonderful years of marriage.
Loving father of Linda Emmerson (Kim), Doug Meredith (Cathy), Sandra Bumstead (Doug) and John Meredith (Serena).
Loved grandfather of Craig, Matt, Niki, (step grandchildren Ryan and Haley) Dan, Matt, Anna, Christina, Natalie, Tana, Kate, Natasha, (step grandchildren Taylor and James) and great grandfather to 13 Great Grandchildren.
Predeceased by his mother Monica and his 6 siblings, Molly, Theresa, Joan, Cathy, John and Charles (Bill).
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Trillium Manor, especially the Ramara Unit, for the kindness, care and support they provided to our dad.
Cremation has taken place.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held in October. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
