I honestly don’t even know where to begin. My heart is broken for Chris’s family, especially his mom and his children. Chris and I had been friends since grade school, and for many years we were inseparable. We grew up together and shared so many memories that it’s hard to put into words what his friendship meant to me. I spent countless weekends at Chris’s house throughout grade school and high school. We spent our time biking, getting into trouble, partying, and playing Tony Hawk Pro Skater on his PS1 for what seemed like endless hours. To this day, whenever I hear that game or think about playing it, I’ll think of Chris. One of the memories that will always stand out to me is the trip we took from Ontario to Canmore, Alberta in his Honda Civic hatchback. We eventually ended up living together in Canmore and those years and experiences are something I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. There are so many memories, big and small, that will always remind me of Chris. I feel incredibly lucky to have had him as a friend for so many years, even though losing him now is difficult to accept. Rest easy, Chris. I’ll miss you more than I can put into words, and I’ll always be grateful for the years, the laughs, the adventures, and the friendship we shared. You’ll never be forgotten.
