Remembering Ian Robertson

In Loving Memory of Ian Robertson.  

Born March 7, 1955, and passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

A strong-willed man who lived life on his own terms, he did things his way and never was afraid of an adventure. Originally from Scotland, he made his way to Orillia, where he built a life filled with many stories, experiences, and memories.

He spent his working life as a pattern maker, taking pride in his craft and dedication to his work.

He will be lovingly remembered by his longtime partner, Jody (French) Gross, his children, Fiona (Mike) Etele and Lee (Tanya) Robertson; and his step-children, Andrew Gross, Adam Gross, Adrienne Readman and extended family. 

He was a proud Grandpa to Neven, Jaxson, Sierra, Drake, Colton, Cain, and Adley, and a Great-Grandpa to Daxton.

Strong-willed, independent, and always determined to do things his own way, he leaves behind a lifetime of adventures and memories that will remain with those who loved him.

As requested by Ian, he has been cremated and there will be no Celebration of Life.  

The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the doctors, Couchiching Health at Home and Care Partners for their support and assistance in Ian’s care.
