At the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Sunday August 9, 2026 at the age of 77. Blaine Stein of Severn Bridge, beloved husband of the late Susan Stein. Loving father of Mark (Christina) Stein, Brent Stein (former partner Carrie Anne Burgie). Loved grandfather of Grace Elizabeth, Zachary Andrew, Kyah, Ava and Ryan. Survived by siblings Art Stein, Rosemary Stein and Barbara Eastcott. Predeceased by his brothers Gary Stein and Morley Stein. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Carson Funeral Homes L. Aug 10, 2026My sympathies go out to Mark and Brent and their families in the loss of such a great dad and grandpa. Blaine was my mechanic, and he was also my friend. I never met a nicer guy, and I will miss him, along with many others in the Washago/Severn Bridge community. His late wife Susan was also my friend, and now they are together again.
