Remembering Christopher Wayne Carlton

Surrounded by love, Christopher Carlton passed away peacefully at Georgian Bay General Hospital on Monday, August 3rd, 2026, with his daughter by his side.

Cherished and loved father of Lea-Andra Robitaille and her husband Wayne. Adored and proud Grandad to Esamae and Callum.

He will be remembered by his siblings Diane, Kevin (Carrie), and Sherri; his nieces and nephews; and all those who knew and loved him.

Chris had a long and varied career, dedicating many years to serving others. He worked as a police officer, private investigator, truck driver, and later owned his own business specializing in safety and compliance within the trucking industry. After retirement, he continued to enjoy working with people as a taxi driver and, most memorably, as a bus driver, a role he truly loved.

Although he had a tough exterior, those closest to Chris knew the depth of his love and pride for his daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. Some of his happiest moments were spent fishing and making memories with Esamae and Callum.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the emergency staff at Georgian Bay General Hospital for their unwavering support and compassion during this difficult time.

They would also like to acknowledge the wonderful staff and residents at The Lorna Tomlinson Residence for Seniors. The care, support, and compassion shown to Chris throughout his stay were second to none.

A special thank you to his nurse, Natacha, who Chris deeply respected and trusted. Her kindness and the relationship they built meant so much to him.

At the request of the family, a private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Carson Funeral Homes J.H. Lynn Chapel  290 First St Midland (705)-526-6551
