Remembering Diane Lynn Yeatman (nee Crooks)

March 29, 1952 – July 10, 2026

Diane passed away peacefully at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital in Orillia, surrounded by her family, at the age of 74.

Diane was the beloved wife of Malcolm, and cherished mother to Lisa and Matthew (Jacqueline). She was a proud grandmother to Corbie (Christine), Chantal, Claire, and Scott, and great-grandmother to Payton, a role that brought her tremendous joy.

Born in Orillia, Ontario, Diane was the daughter of the late Amy Elizabeth Mears and Robert Malcolm Crooks. She was predeceased by her brother Ron. She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Ed (late Susan), Karen, Joan and Mac (Karen). By her in-laws Jill Yeatman (Jim), Joy Yeatman (Bruce), along with her many nieces and nephews.

Diane was a caregiver at heart, known for her compassion, candour, and deep love of children. She loved to cook and enjoyed nothing more than feeding her family especially over the holidays.

Diane will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Special thank you to the nursing staff at Soldiers Memorial Hospital for your care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Soldiers memorial hospital or the Heart and Stroke foundation would be greatly appreciated.

Arrangements entrusted to Carson Funeral Homes L. Doolittle Chapel, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia (705) 326-3595.
