It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Elvi Eva Wilson of Orillia, ON, on Friday July 10, 2026, at the age of 72. Born in Toronto, ON to George and Louise Rust. She lived a life defined by her quiet grace, warmth, kindness, strength and unwavering devotion to her family. She was the cornerstone of our lives, teaching us the true meaning of love, resilience and compassion. She cherished the time spent with family and her gentle spirit left a mark on everyone she met.
Elvi is survived by her daughter, Paula Valois (Jon Grant), and predeceased by her beloved son, Gene Valois. Cherished by her grandchildren, Darien Valois, Calyb Steeves, Jace Grant, Aidan Rubino-Valois and great grandchild Mateo Allard, as well as her siblings, nieces and nephews. She will forever live in the hearts of those she touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday July 19, 2026, at Carson Funeral Home, 54 Coldwater St. E, Orillia (705) 326-3595 from 1-4 P.M.
