Snider, Terry Lynn
September 17, 1960 - June 24, 2026
Terry Lynn Snider, age 65, of Penetanguishene, Ontario, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026 with her loving daughter and husband by her side, with constant and loving support of her husband Doug, together they fought a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
Born on September 17, 1960, in Toronto, Ontario, Terry was the cherished daughter of Don and May Brickles.
Terry will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering positivity, and genuine compassion. She had a remarkable ability to make others feel seen, supported, and cared for, and she touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her through her warmth, generosity, and quiet strength.
For 31 wonderful years, Terry shared a loving marriage with her husband, Doug Snider. Together they built a life filled with adventure, laughter, and treasured memories, especially on the waters of Georgian Bay and Talon Lake.
Terry was also a devoted mother to Brianna Roy (Alain) and a proud and adoring grandmother to her cherished grandson, Rémi Roy.
She found great joy in long days at the beach, spending time with close friends, and, above all else, being surrounded by her family.
Terry's loss will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Douglas Irwin; her daughter, Brianna (Alain); her beloved grandson, Rémi; her mother, May Brickles; her devoted sisters, Debbie Moreau and Bridget Brickles-Cousineau; and a wide network of extended family and dear friends. Terry was predeceased by her father, Don Brickles, and her brothers, Donnie and Tim Brickles. Though her time with us was far too short, Terry's kindness, love, and generous spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
A special thank you to Doctor El-Maraghi and his wonderful staff at RVH Hudson Regional Cancer centre, Dr.Bahandari and his wonderful staff at GBGH, the wonderful staff at the Georgian Bay Cancer Center and also all the wonderful staff at Hospice Huronia-Tomkins House all made a special difference for us.
Family and friends will be received at Carson Funeral Home, 290 First Street in Midland Ontario (705) 526-6551 on Friday July 24, 2026 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8pm, again on Saturday July 25 2026 at 10am followed by a funeral service in the chapel starting at 11am officiated by Reverend Kristy Hunter. Interment will follow for family at Lakeview Cemetery. A celebration of life for Terry Lynn will follow from 1 to 4pm at the Midland Legion Hall Branch 80.
If desired the family welcomes donations to the RVH Hudson Regional Cancer Centre, Georgian Bay Cancer Centre or Hospice Huronia- Tomkins House in her memory and are appreciated.

Jul 8, 2026Terry was one of my best friends and her loss leaves a huge hole in my heart. She was always there for anyone that needed her. You had to be a pretty rotten person for her not to like you! I will treasure all my memories with her and there are many. She was the glue that held us all together. She was always planning or organizing something to get people together. She had the most beautiful contagious smile. I can not believe my friend is gone. I miss you Terry. And I love you. RIP My dear dear friend
