HARRINGTON, MICHAEL
It is with heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of Michael on December 24, 2025, at the young age of 42. Beloved son of Lynn Parker (Henry MacDonald) and Chester Harrington.
Loving brother to Shawn and Melissa (Stephen), and dearest uncle to Caleb and Rylie. Grandson of the late Winston and Leona Parker, and the late Anne and Leonard Harrington, all of Orillia. Cherished nephew of Sherry, John, and Ron. Will be missed by many cousins, friends, and family. Also deeply missed by his bonus Winnipeg family — Werner, Audrey, Spencer, Celina Sommerfeld, and their families.
Michael will be especially missed by his beloved cat, “Monkey,” his loyal companion of 15 years and truly his pride and joy.
Mike had a passion for adventure — whether it was flying destinational, camping, or fishing. He had a wonderful sense of humour and a gentle, kind soul. Along his journeys, he formed many meaningful friendships and left lasting impressions on all who knew him.

A Celebration of Michael’s life will be held at the Carson Funeral Homes - L. Doolittle Chapel, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia (705) 326-3595 on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 1 to 4 P.M.

May 25, 2026Mike will always be remembered and appreciated by the good people he made connections within the Lydia apartments. He was a caring neighbor, a true display of a good friendly neighbor to have. I was very lucky to get to know his humorous nature, his prankster side was definitely something. I will carry on with my life never forgetting about my friend and neighbor Mike, that’s for sure. Sending my deepest prayers for strength over his family, may Mike’s spirit be with them whenever they’re in their times of need.
