Christopher William McCullagh
Christopher William McCullagh, 35, of Orillia, Ontario, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026.
Born on Tuesday, October 16, 1990, in Weston, Ontario, to Susan and Michael McCullagh. Christopher grew up with a love for dirt biking, hockey, music, helping others, vehicle repair, and outdoor adventures. He was known for his energetic spirit, playful sense of humour, and ability to bring laughter to those around him.
Throughout his life, Christopher faced significant health challenges with remarkable resilience, courage, and strength. Diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) at the age of 17, he also lived with and bravely worked through mental health struggles. Even in the face of daily difficulties, he met life with determination and a sense of humour.
Christopher found comfort and companionship in his beloved best friend, a dog named Bailey, a German Shepherd/Lab mix, whose loyal presence brought him peace and joy.
Christopher is survived by his devoted parents, Susan and Michael McCullagh; his sisters, Michelle (Steven) and Darlene; and his nephews, Colton, Taylor, and Bryce. He will also be lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Christopher's memory to the Canadian Mental Health Association to support others navigating similar challenges.
The family cannot thank enough the many staff members who cared for Christopher during his time of need.
