Ray passed away peacefully with family by his side at Georgian Manor on Wednesday March 11, 2026 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Judith (Judy) Ego. Son of the late Horace and Alma Ego. Loving stepfather of Elisa and Coral. Dear stepgrandfather of Brady and Jaden. Survived by his siblings Laury (Lorraine) Ego, Susan (Bruce) Burns and predeceased by his sister Marjorie (Paul) McKerroll. Cherished uncle of Kristin (Gary), Kevin (Rosalyn), Bryan (Melanie), Sarah, Kathryn (Michael), Meagan (Hunter), Laura (Bill) and Jesse (Brenay). Fondly remembered by many great nieces and nephews Sadie, Ewan, Max, Charlotte, Fynn, Norah, Rowan, Cole, Landon, Claire, Colton, Annelyse, and Braylee. The family would like to thank Dr. Lee and Staff at Georgian Manor (Red Oak Unit) for their care provided to Ray. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Carson Funeral Homes L. Doolittle Chapel, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia (705) 326-3595 on Saturday April 11, 2026 from 6-8 P.M. and on Sunday April 12, 2026 from 1 P.M. until time of Memorial Service at 2 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Epilepsy Ontario, Willis Presbyterian Church (Jarratt), or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
