Passed away at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Monday March 2, 2026 at the age of 80. Predeceased by parents Helen and Gordon Jefford. Predeceased by her first Husband Jim Murphy, second Husband Harvey Cowling, sister Bonnie Wren and Jack "Unk" Lowday. Lovingly remembered by sister Patricia Girard, nephew/Godson Douglas Girard, nephew Shawn Girard (Maureen), great niece Claire Girard, great Nephew Aaron Girard, Ron and Brenda Hendry, brother in law Jim Wren, stepsons Jamie and Robert Murphy. Special friend to Heather Parkes.
Marilyn loved animals and supported a number of causes for animal welfare. She will be missed by the caring staff at Leacock Retirement Lodge and friends at the facility. She is missed by her furry roommate Olive, her cat.
Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers please support your local animal shelter or the World Wildlife Fund.
