Margaret Elizabeth McLoughlin (O’Brien)
December 28, 1928 - March 13, 2026. Aged 98.
Passed away peacefully at Champlain Manor Residence in Orillia. Margaret was born at home in Toronto on December 28, 1928, to Michael and Irene O’Brien (nee Tighe).
Margaret attended Vaughan Collegiate in Toronto After graduating, she began working at Union Carbide and then IBM as a department supervisor. In 1962. she married the love of her life Brian Dermot McLoughlin, and they shared 45 wonderful years together.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband Brian; sisters Mary Forrest, Nora Masse, Edna O’Brien and Monica Cormier and close friends Eleanor Boisenault and Geraldine Casey.
She is survived by daughters: Suzanne McLoughlin and Jennifer Fyfe, son-in-law Steven Fyfe and her 4 grandchildren.
Connor Fyfe (Samanta), Tyler Fyfe (Jess), Shealynn Fyfe (Connor) & Kaileigh Fyfe.
Family was everything to mom she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, We will forever hold her in our hearts.
A special thank you to all the Nurses and PSW’s at Champlain for making our mothers final days so comfortable.
Cremation has taken place and funeral services will be held in the spring at Guardian Angels Church per her wishers.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
