Remembering Joyce Mae Fowler (nee Baillie)

We are saddened to announce the passing of Joyce Fowler (nee Baillie), who died peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital on Friday December 19, 2025. Born on September 18, 1933, she lived a long, full life of 92 years, marked by perseverance, steady faith, and zeal. She was the beloved wife of the late Lloyd Fowler. She is predeceased by her dear brother Donald Baillie. She is survived by her sister-in-law Gwen Baillie and her nieces Tanya Jutras (Tom) and Karen Baillie (daughter Cheyenne).

As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, she found strength and comfort in the hope held out in the Scriptures, especially the promise of a future resurrection, and she shared that hope often with others. Joyce will be remembered for her love of travel, her love of food and her willingness to adjust and accept the changes in life that came her way. She leaves behind many friends who will miss her dearly and look forward to the day they can welcome her back.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 24, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 519 Laclie St. Orillia.

Arrangements entrusted to Carson Funeral Homes L. Doolittle Chapel, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia (705) 326-3595.
