Remembering Stephen John Farley 'Steve'

Steve loved life and lived it to the fullest! After a hard-fought battle with pulmonary fibrosis, Steve Farley, 68, passed peacefully on Tuesday December 16th, 2025. Steve spent his final days in the way he loved most! Surrounded by family, laughter and love.  He loved music, theatre, collecting art, and he was an avid boater. He greatly valued community, friendship, and lived an incredible life. He constantly set an example for how to live life to the fullest, on your own terms.  Steve is survived by his loving wife, Michele, along with their children Casey and Ryan (Dani) as well as his adoring grandson Athan. Steve was preceded in death by his sister Donna, and is survived by  siblings Michael (Maggie) and Laura (Kevin), and his Aunt Marlene, as well as an extremely large extended family both related and chosen! Steve’s legacy will live on in the memories and through the stories of everyone who knew and loved him.

  14. Jon Juffs

We are deeply saddened to learn of Steve’s passing. Steve was a genuinely engaging presence and a gifted storyteller whose warmth, humour, and sharp observations made every getogether richer. Whether we were together through CCI-Huronia, at community events, enjoying live music, local stage theatre, or lingering conversations over a well-nosed whisky, Steve had a remarkable way of drawing people in and making moments memorable. His stories were often hilarious, always thoughtful, and unmistakably his own. More importantly, his kindness, curiosity, and sense of connection will continue to resonate with all of us who were fortunate to know him. To Michele and Casey, and Steve's entire extended family and friends, we extend our heartfelt condolences. Steve’s absence will be deeply felt, but his spirit, stories, and the joy he brought to others will remain in our hearts forever. With sincere sympathy, Jon and Monica
