With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a caring, kind, and loving man, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. A lifelong farmer, he found purpose in working the land and devoted many years to serving the Ontario government as a driver, supporting adults with developmental disabilities. His patience, compassion and gentle spirit touched countless lives.
He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and found peace in nature throughout his life. Married 52 years to his beloved wife, Brenda (Vivian), he was a proud father of two wonderful children Alaine (Duane Lamb) and Wade (Jackie Duffy) and a cherished grandfather to three Liam, Owen and Carter. Favourite brother of Muriel (Brian Leach). Missed by many nieces and nephews.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his great smile and unmatched sense of humor. Celebration of life will be held at the Coldwater Legion on Friday December 12th from 12 to 3 P.M.
Arrangements entrusted to Carson Funeral Homes L. Doolittle Chapel, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia (705) 326-3595.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital Foundation.
