Remembering Bonnie Gaye Hartnell

Bonnie Hartnell passed away peacefully on Friday, November 21st at the age of 83. She is survived by her husband of almost 66 years, William, her children Stephen, Stuart (Jennifer), Leslie (Martin) and Louise (Chris), 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, her sister Karen Carrigan (Jack), her nephews and niece. She was predeceased by her parents Lou and Helen Edgar, her mother-in-law Eleanor Hartnell and two sons Paul and Phillip (Linda).

Having been introduced to sewing as a young girl, Bonnie found one of her lifelong passions. Working under the name “by Bonnie”, she created one-of-a-kind clothing, bags, memory bears and quilts, as well as alterations of anything and everything. She was well-known in Midland for working at T&G Fabrics for many years, sharing her knowledge and skill.

Her other lifelong passion was her family. With her soulmate, Bill, at her side, she created a loving legacy that already spans generations. Bonnie loved being surrounded by family at boisterous and busy family gatherings that were filled with stories and laughter and food, or visiting individually with one of many family members.

She will be remembered for her grace, strength, creativity and love.

Private arrangements entrusted to Carson Funeral Home – J.H. Lynn Chapel in Midland (705) 526-6551.
