Remembering Jean Hawthorne

Our hearts are broken and it is with deep sorrow to share that our beloved mother, Jean Hawthorne passed away on Thursday November 6, 2025 at the age of 95.

She was the loved mother of Warren (Andrea), Daphne (Wayne), and Cathy (predeceased), wife for 70 years of Ronnie, grandmother of Heidi, Kyle, Clinton, Kristina and Shane. Great grandmother to Carter and Oakley. Sister of Warren (predeceased) and his wife Nancy, sister-in-law of Daphne and her husband Terry (predeceased).

A private family gathering will take place at a later date honouring Mums life.

The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the “Humane World for Animals” at http://humaneworld.org/en/planned-giving in her honour, as per Mum’s wishes.

Mum was always an animal lover and loved nature. She was passionate about the well-being of all animals and she proudly supported animal welfare organizations, constantly trying to make a difference. She loved music and taught piano lessons for many years.

Mum was truly selfless, beautiful inside and out.

"Mum will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her." - We will miss her smile, kindness, humour, and honesty.

Arrangements entrusted to Carson Funeral Homes L. Doolittle Chapel, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia (705) 326-3595.
