Donald Thomas Porter (April 9, 1965 – October 23, 2025)
The family of Donald Thomas Porter announces his passing at home in Hawkestone on Thursday, October 23, in his 61st year. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Evelyn “Eve” Cottom; his son Will Porter; and his loyal companion, Tyson. Don will be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends.
Born and raised in Richmond Hill and Shoal Harbour, Newfoundland, by his parents, Bob and Darcie Porter (née Balsom, predeceased), Don developed a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors and a special bond with his canine companions. He dedicated many years to the construction industry, specializing in framing and renovation.
In accordance with his wishes, a private cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held in the spring or summer of 2026.
