Remembering Anthony Robin Duckett 'Rob, Tony'

In the early morning of October 5th, 2025, Anthony (Rob, Tony) Duckett passed away suddenly from a heart attack in Bala, Ontario. Born in Toronto on August 17th, 1964, Anthony spent the last 25 years residing in the Orillia area, where he built a life filled with love, laughter, and craftsmanship.

A talented and detail-oriented carpenter, Anthony took great pride in his work and was always eager to share his knowledge with others. His patience, creativity, and willingness to teach left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to learn from him.

Anthony’s love for nature was evident in all he did. He found peace in the outdoors—camping beneath the stars, fishing on quiet lakes, and prospecting on new adventures. These moments, often shared with his loved ones, reflected his deep appreciation for the beauty of the world around him.

Above all, Anthony was a devoted family man. He was a loving husband to Stephanie, a proud father to Courtney, and a cherished father-in-law to Jake De Jong. He was also a beloved Uncle to his Nieces and nephews all of whom will deeply miss his humor, kindness, and the way he could make light of any situation. His family is heartbroken by his sudden passing and will forever carry his love and laughter in their hearts.

A private Celebration of Life will be held for close family members at a later date. In memory of Anthony’s love for the outdoors, donations may be made to Ontario Parks, where he spent countless joyful days camping, exploring, and creating lasting memories with family and friends.

Arrangements entrusted to Carson Funeral Homes L. Doolittle Chapel, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia (705) 326-3595

We are both so sorry for your loss. Rob was a special person. His sense of humour was awesome. If you pulled a trick on him he would laugh as hard as everyone else but watch out, he would get you back to! We have so many memories of camping, flyball, fishing and holiday celebrations. We will miss his laugh and his smile ❤️. Sending you love and support.
