April 30, 1931 – September 15, 2025. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen. She will be forever loved and deeply missed by David, Jennifer, and Natasha Jarman, family members near and far, and her many dear friends. Eileen grew up in Lancashire, England, and worked as a geography teacher before settling in Toronto. She spent many years as a supply teacher with the North York, East York, and Scarborough Boards of Education before taking a permanent position teaching Grade 2 at Walter Perry Junior Public School. Outside of work, she had many diverse interests. She crewed for years on her husband's sailing dinghies at Ashbridge's Bay Yacht Club and the Outer Harbour Sailing Club. She loved attending Toronto Symphony concerts and National Ballet of Canada performances with her granddaughter and friends. She was equally happy at a good reggae concert. In her later years, she enjoyed aqua aerobics with the "Pan Am Ladies Volleyball Team," stayed engaged with the world by reading two daily newspapers, and attended events at the Edinburgh University Club of Toronto. Throughout her short illness, she remained unfailingly friendly and upbeat. Her family wishes to thank the healthcare professionals who cared for her so conscientiously and kindly at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, the Back to Function clinic, and Mariposa House Hospice in Orillia. A celebration of Eileen's life will be held at Carson's Funeral Home – L.Doolittle Chapel, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, on Thursday, September 25, from 6–8 p.m., and at Pine Hills Visitation Centre, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough, on Friday, September 26, from 1–3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Mariposa House Hospice, Soldier's Memorial Hospital, the Sharing Place Food Centre, or your favourite local charity.

Sep 20, 2025My condolences to you and your family, Jennifer. Our Lakehead community was better because of your mother's part in it. Our thoughts are with all of you as you remember all she brought into your lives.

Sep 19, 2025Dearest auntie Eileen, your love, your wisdom and your friendship will stay with me forever. For our Canadian dolls, Kimi and Suki; for introducing me to my first Barbie doll; for my totem pole necklace and the wooden maple leaf brooch; for the ice-cream on the swings on Toronto Island and for coming to England to comfort my dad after mum died; for teaching me - and challenging me with - the therapeutic benefits of Sudoku, which I still do, and think of you, every single day. For all the very special things that you did in 62 years of being an auntie to me, "thank you!" Good night and God bless you ...and thank you for a lifetime of support. Reunited with uncle Ron, your mum and dad and brother, Kevern, and safe forever in eternal rest. Keeping Jennifer, David and Natasha in my thoughts and prayers. 💔
