Remembering Mildred Jean Hoover

Mildred Jean Hoover, a loving daughter, devoted mother and sister passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025 at the age of 96 years. Born in Orillia on July 4, 1929 to Rose and Russell McLean and loving sister to Jim McLean, Betty Hicks, Muriel Lahay and Doug McLean. Millie dedicated her life to her family and friends. She will be remembered as being a pillar of strength, giving her time generously, volunteering at Meals on Wheels, the Orillia Opera House, and her local church. Millie always made sure everyone was taken care of and had the kindest and warmest personality. She was an avid walker and loved attending her concerts at the casino. Millie is survived by her loving sons Scott [Maureen], Mace [Sherri], and Glenn; Grandchildren Adam, Adria [Charbel], Bill [Alex], and Julia; Great grand children Kalen, Samuel, Jacob, Jack and Sunny. A short graveside service and interment will take place on August 12, 2025 at 2 pm at Saint Andrew’s - Saint James’ Cemetery in Orillia. Arrangements entrusted to Carson Funeral Homes L.
