Olive Emond (nee Jamieson) died peacefully in her 99th year at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Orillia on Wednesday, June 18th, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Allan Emond (d. 2022). Much loved mother of David (Brenda) of Calgary, Douglas of Ottawa and Steven (Maureen) of Calgary. Cherished grandmother of Matthew, Patrick, Jennifer and Caitlin (Jared Forbes) and proud great-grandmother of Leighton and Jamieson Forbes. Predeceased by her dear sisters Margaret Heels and Edna Hartwell and her parents Louisa Wallace and George Jamieson. Olive Jamieson was born on June 21st, 1926 in Toronto. She graduated from Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing in 1948 and married Allan Emond the same year. She and Allan loved golfing and playing bridge, but their greatest passion was travel which they did extensively. She also enjoyed knitting and was an avid reader. Olive had a wide circle of friends and she kept in contact with her nursing classmates for her entire life. Her final years were spent at the Leacock Retirement Lodge in Orillia. She will remain eternally in our hearts. Interment at St. Andrew’s and St. James’ Cemetery, Orillia. Arrangements entrusted to Carson Funeral Homes L.
