Remembering Marianne Elizabeth Lucassen

Passed peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia on Sunday June 15, 2025.  Beloved wife of the late Arthur Lucassen and a loving and devoted mother of Martin Lucassen.  Marianne lived her life fully.  Strong and independent she managed Martin’s care and well being her entire life as a mother.  She loved her garden and she loved to cook.  She was surrounded with love the last year at Spencer House, her new home, as many helped her navigate her declining health.  Astrid her friend as family and Martin’s caregiver, always by her side.  She lived her life her way, and in death she chose her way.  She is loved and will be missed.  A mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church in Brechin on Monday June 23, 2025 at 11 am.  Burial will take place immediately following in St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery.  If desired, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice and will be received by the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes  54 Coldwater St. E Orillia, Ontario (705)326-3595.
