  1. Janice Spring Besner

Our belated sincere condolences Cheryl, Lorna, Bruce & families on the loss of your mom. I, Janice had a really nice chat with her, 2 years ago at our cousin's Brian's memorial. Living in Alberta I miss catching up with family in Ontario. Your parents were both lovely people. Sending hugs from your cousin's, Janice, Owen, & Kevin Spring (Ivison Spring family)

To Ina's family, I'm so sorry to hear of Ina's passing. She and Keith were such an inspiration at Site 41 ! I will never forget my involvement there and meeting so many wonderful participants who cared about our amazing water. May you rest in Peace Ina.

  3. Leslie Lloyd

My deepest condolences to the Wood family. 41 years ago I was a participant in Katimavik and Mr. and Mrs. Wood welcomed me and my friend, Susan Rook to their dairy farm. It was a life changing week for two city girls and Mr. and Mrs. Wood were patient, firm and great teachers about all things farming both inside the house and out. It was a huge commitment on their part since they included us in everything, church, livestock auctions, sourdough making, insemination, visit to the marine railway. It was so generous of them to not just offer us a homestay but to really host us and share their life with us. Last spring Sue and I made a 40 year anniversary pilgrimage back to Midland and we couldn't believe our good fortune when we had the opportunity to visit with her. She was amazing. Full of stories and so happy to keep connected via email. How many 90+ year olds are email savvy? I want you to know the impact the generousity of your parents. They were literally unforgettable and l am eternally grateful that I was one of the MANY young people to whom they opened their hearts and home. Blessings to you all.
