Apr 23, 2025Feeling for you all. How I would love to be with you today. I have appreciated Dawn's friendship over the years from the time of her first visit to her parents. We enjoyed our long chats on the phone. Sometimes I needed advice from Dr Dawn and other times just catching up and sharing. I was her El Salvador sister. With much love and sympathy.

Apr 22, 2025My deepest condolences to all of you on the loss of Dawn. She really was something special. As shared on my Facebook page… My husband just shared with me that Dawn Heels passed away. A bright shining light in my journey has moved on to Glory. She was with me for the birth of my first born, and was a mentor to me when I began my nursing in obstetrics. She was a commanding Sargent with all the compassion and comfort of a mother’s warm embrace and I loved her. My heart is happy for her release from the ravages of Alzheimer’s that took over her mind, but grieving the loss of her. I will forever be grateful for her wise, strong, confident presence in my life through my moments of such fear over the unknowns ahead. She was such a calming presence to me. Go claim your crowns, dear lady. You have earned every pearl and diamond.

Apr 20, 2025My sincerest condolences to everyone who knew and loved Dawn. She truly was an angel here on earth. Her love of life, predominantly babies was comforting to both moms and babies. She always knew just what everyone needed, even before they knew themselves. She remembered all the moms and our babies and she genuinely cared for each and every one. I feel honored to have met Dawn and privileged for the care she provided me and hundreds of other local families. You will be missed but never forgotten! I thank you, you've earned your rest....

Apr 17, 2025My deepest condolences to the family. Dawn delivered both of my boys at HDH as the doctor didn't make it on time, one in 1978 and the other in 1981. Everytime I would run into her she would always ask how the boys were. Truly a lovely lady and a wonderful caring nurse. Was just thinking of her yesterday and then saw her obituary this morning. She will be missed.
