December 22, 1941 to April 9, 2025
Barry passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025 at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital.
Barry is survived by his loving wife Elaine. On May 12th they would have celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary.
Also left to mourn are Barry's four sisters, Gaye (Billy, predeceased), Joanne (Rob), Dawn (Walter), Heather (Barry); his stepdaughter Jean (Bob), brother-in-law Ron (Terri) and sister-in-law Danette. Uncle Barry will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Barry grew up in Toronto. He enjoyed cottage life, loved a good round of golf and was a big hockey fan. He particularly enjoyed watching junior hockey games at Christmastime. Barry liked the simple things in life.
A hard worker his entire life, Barry had a varied career. A chance sales call to an accounting firm in Markham in 1985 changed Barry's life forever. He met Elaine and their love story grew over the next 40 years.
Barry's family and friends will miss him and he will always be remembered as a kind and fun loving guy.
Many thanks to the caring and dedicated team of Doctors and Nurses at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Joyland Beach Community Centre, 4303 McRae Park Road, Ramara, ON L3V 0S2. Light refreshments will be served.
If desired, memorial donations can be made to the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital (Harvie 2 Unit).
Arrangements entrusted to the Carson Funeral Homes L. Doolittle Chapel, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia (705) 326-3595.
