Remembering Margaret Imrie Angus

Passed peacefully at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital in Orillia on Sunday, February 2, 2025 in her 81st year.  Margaret, loving partner to Leo Moriarty, will be sadly missed by her children Adrian (Ashley) and Vanessa, by her grandchildren Liam and Isabella, and by her sister in laws Lori Molinar and Rene (Tom) Smart.  Margaret started her career in Toronto as a hairdresser and after she moved to Orillia she switched to selling real estate with Royal LePage.  Margaret loved her time skiing and golfing with her girlfriends and she enjoyed her weightlifting community.  Cremation has taken place.  Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society and will be received by Carson Funeral Homes – L.Doolittle Chapel, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia (705)326-3595.

    I'm sure my brother and my cousins join me in saying we are sorry that Aunty Marg has passed. Many memories of Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter dinners where Marg was the official "turkery carver", with Uncle Jack right there to get the cast-offs. Lots of Saturday afternoon pop-in visits, and ski weekends when they had the chalet. I'll always be grateful to Marg as she started me off in my working life by securing my first office job with a company on the same floor as she worked. Marg had a gung-ho approach to life and had many interests, it was a life well lived.

    So sorry for your loss. Was a member of the same gym as Marg and when I first met her, was inspired by the incredible shape she was in and her dedication to staying that way. A beautiful person with a smile in her eyes whenever we met. She has been missed at the gym and will be remembered.
