Margaret Isabel Featherston passed away peacefully with her family at her side at Trillium Manor, Orillia on the 6th of January, 2025 in her 98th year.
Predeceased by her parents Frank and Cora King. Beloved wife of Robert Wylie Featherston. Loving mother of Barbara (Paul predeceased) and Paul (Sue).
Dear sister of Glen (predeceased) (Rose predeceased), Lorene (Wendell predeceased), Marion predeceased (Graham predeceased), Ross (Predeceased)( Muriel), John “Jack” (Jean).
Cherished Granny of Michelle (Brent), Kathleen (John), Kati (Shaun), Scott.
Proud Great Granny of Robbie, Christopher, Alexander, Logan and Riley.
Margaret was born and raised in Gorrie, Ontario. She married Robert (Bob) in 1948, lived, worked and raised her family in the Orillia area. Margaret will be remembered for her love of baseball, especially the Blue Jays, curling, card games, volunteering for the Lions club, Moose Lodge, the Royal Canadian Legion, dancing and socializing with her many friends. Her charming and engaging personality made her unforgettable. She will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Heart and Stroke or a Food Bank of your choice.
A private family service and Celebration of Life will be held at the Carson Funeral Home, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia (705) 326-3595 on Saturday January 11, 2025.
Margaret will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband at the St. Andrews, St James Cemetery, Orillia on Monday January 13, 2025.
The staff and volunteers at the Trillium Manor are truly angels on earth, and their compassion and support will be remembered and will impact us forever. We can not thank them enough.
