Passed away peacefully at Georgian Bay General Hospital in Penetanguishene on Monday July 15, 2013 in her 93rd year. Catharine will be sadly missed by her brother Dr. John (Wendy) MacKenzie of Elmvale, by her Nephews Keith, Gordon (Rosemary) of Vancouver British Columbia, and Ian (Marcy) of Montreal Quebec, and also by her great nieces and nephews Hannah, Alyson, Linden, and Cameron. Catharine is predeceased by her brothers Dr. Alex Mackenzie and Ewen Mackenzie. Cremation has taken place with interment of cremated remains in Victoria Harbour Union Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation and will be received by the Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551. There will be no visitation, funeral, or memorial service at Catharine’s request.
