Remembering Haigie Kouyoumjian

Haigie Kouyoumjian passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on July 30th, 2024. His family raised a glass of his favorite Bacardi Amber Rum to commemorate his life.

Born on March 2nd, 1946 to Haig and Violet Kouyoumjian, Haigie led his life with a smile on his face and a thunderous laugh that could fill any room. He was a loyal truck driver for Armbro Transport for over 35 years and retired in 2011.

Haigie will be missed dearly by his daughter, Christine Butt (preceded Brad Butt), and his son, Robert and Sandy Kouyoumjian but he will be buried next to their mother, Bonnie Kouyoumjian who was Haigie’s first love.

Haigie will be greatly missed by his wife, Lynda Walter-Kouyoumjian, and his stepchildren and their spouses; Greg Harris, Ken and Darlene Harris, Robert Harris and Tammy McGregor, and Kimberly and Shawn Jordan.

He will be especially missed by all of his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren who loved him so dearly.

As per Haigie’s request, there will be no service but friends and family are welcome to join us for a Celebration of Life on September 7th, 2024, at the home he once shared with his loving wife, Lynda located at 70 Third Steet, Orillia, ON from 1 pm – 4 pm.

In the words of Billy Gibbons from Haigie’s favorite band, ZZ Top; let’s Turn on. Turn up. Rock out.” To remember a great man.

Burial to be held as a private service at a later date.
