It is with profound sadness that the family announce the passing of Jessie Alexandra Massie on June 7, 2024. She was surrounded by family during her final moments. Jessie was born in England and immigrated to Canada with her mother and father when she was 4 years old. She was known for her love of a good cup of tea and a cigarette, visiting with friends and her love for her little dog Pooka.
Mother of Amanda Rennie (nee Massie) (Rob Rennie) Lucas Massie, Adam Massie, (Faith Mumby), loving grandmother to Dean Massie and Colin Hannon. Sister to Hanny Gunnars and Leslie Peacock. Predeceased by little brother John Peacock. Pre deceased by parents Fanny Peacock and Jack Peacock.
Jessie spent her last several months and end days in the care of Orillia Long Term Care Home “Spencer House” where she made many wonderful friends and was cared for tremendously well by the Spencer House nurses, PSW’s and staff. Jessie will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Private arrangements entrusted to Carson Funeral Homes – L. Doolittle Chapel.

Jun 9, 2024It is with very great sadness of the passing on of my buddy Jessie A. Massie. I spent personally several months as a roommate with Jessie. Jessie and myself both experience very similar issues in life. Deficiencies of eyesight in Hearing. As roommates, we carried and shared to help each other endlessly. Jessie and I were always there for each other when we were needed to guide each other if necessary. With great encouragement and continuous efforts. I loved my buddy and received it in return In a platonic relationship . Jessie was a great inspiration to me. She’ll always be missed, loved and thought of endlessly for the infinity days of my life.
