Remembering Marliene Rankin (nee Stanton)

Peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday May 22, 2024 at the age of 87. Marliene Rankin of Oro-Medonte, beloved wife of the late John Rankin. Loving mother of Ken Ferris. Loved by her grandsons, Tyler and Ted Ferris. Great grandmother of Blake Ferris and one on the way. Daughter of the late Gordon and Charlotte Stanton. Survived by her brother Bev (Debbie) Stanton and predeceased by her siblings Bill Stanton, DeLoris Skilliter and Blake Stanton. Dear Aunt to Lisa Stanton. Will be missed by many family, friends and neighbours. Special thanks to Lisa Stanton, Bayshore Nurses, Happy At Home and Dr. Porter. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Marliene’s life will be held at the Carson Funeral Homes L. Doolittle Chapel on Monday June 3, 2024 from 1-4 P.M. with sharing of memories at 3 P.M. A private family inurnment will be held at St. Andrew’s St. James’ Cemetery where her cremated remains will be laid to rest beside her husband John. If desired, memorial donations to Cancer Research at Royal Victoria Hospital would be appreciated.
