Remembering Henry Leonard Legge

Passed peacefully away at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Thursday May 23, 2024 at the age of 73. Originally from Heart’s Delight-Islington, Newfoundland. Predeceased by his grandparents Frederick and Adelia, parents, Fred and Ina, Sister-in-law Sybil and niece Penni, also brother and sister-in-law Joe and Lily Gribbon.

Leaving to mourn are his wife of 39 years, Pat, brothers Bill (Betty Jean), Joe, Gordon (Barb), Edwin (Daphne), Jesse (Carolann), Freddy (Molly) and sister Selina. Brother-in-law of Sean (Suzanne), Jim (Kate), sisters-in-law Sue (Joe) and a long list of special nephews, nieces and friends.

Special thanks to Dr. Ramy Kamil, Dr. Bailey in ICU, Dr. Cull in ICU and all the nursing staff in ICU and Soldiers I for their dedicated care.

Cremation has taken place. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Carson Funeral Homes, L Doolittle Chapel, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia on Saturday June 1, 2024 from 2-4 P.M. Inurnment to follow in Newfoundland.

If desired, memorial donations to The Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.

    My heart broke when I got the news of Henry's passing, I first met Henry back in 1983 when I joined the Blue Stars hockey team so many great times, 1984 he invited me to drive home to Hearts Delight on the way he told me that he wants to introduce me to this girl (Gail Cranford) married 36 years now and our daughter was born on April 19th same day as Henry. I will miss you brother!
