Remembering Sandra Frances Cassidy (nee Abercrombie)

It is with a great sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Sandra Francis Cassidy (nee Abercrombie). She left us peacefully from her home in Barrie, Ontario on the morning of February 1st, 2024 at 78 years of age. She was born in Collingwood on December 17th, 1945 to Frank and Gladys Abercrombie. After leaving her beloved hometown she attended Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. From there she moved to Toronto where she met and fell in love with George Cassidy. The two were wed in September 1974 and Sandra became the loving stepmother of Clark and proud mother of Craig and Alyson, grandmother of Connor, Keira, Benjamin, Cameron and Isabelle. She is survived by her sister Yvonne Gray and predeceased by her sister Marilyn Abercrombie and husband George. We will be hosting a celebration of life on Monday February 12th at 2 pm at Midhurst United Church, 91 Doran Road in Midhurst, Ontario. All are welcomed. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. She taught us to dance in the kitchen, she taught us to laugh, she taught us devotion, kindness, generosity, but most of all she taught us love.
