1947 – 2023
Brian’s death occurred at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Thursday November 30, 2023 after a brief illness. He’ll be remembered by many acquaintances and friends, particularly his forever friend, Jeff and close friend, Matthew. He was predeceased by his parents.
Brian was raised and educated in Toronto with brother, Tony. He graduated from the University of Toronto prior to achieving a law degree at Osgood Hall Law School. His career of choice was teaching history at Westview Centennial School, North York until retirement.
Relocating to Orillia prior to retirement, he commuted to Toronto to his teaching job while enjoying his country farm. Brian was kind and generous with others who may have fallen on difficult time, always ready to share with them. While there were many bumps along life’s path, his faith never faltered. He particularly enjoyed attending Martyrs Shrine’s services every summer.
Brian’s unique sense of humour and profound love of nature will live on in the memories of all who had the good fortune to be his friend.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements entrusted to the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia (705) 326-3595.
