Remembering Lyle and Edith Post

Lyle and Edith were both born in Parry Sound, Ontario and knew each other for 73 years and married for 68 years. Our Mother Edith (one of 5 children - 3 pre-deceased) and survived by her sister Laura (Paul), passed away on Tuesday October 31st (our Father’s 90th birthday) and our Dad Lyle (one of 13 children - 12 pre-deceased) passed away on Saturday November 4th.

They are survived by their children Susan (Phil), Beverly (Tim), Laurie (Chris) and Jim (Jen). Loved by their Grandchildren Kyle, Michael, Barbara (Rob), Kenneth, Sarah (Daniel), John (Robyn) Jimmy (Renee), Jonathan (Jenna), Jordan (Nat), Jessi (Cam) , Lindsay (Michael) and Great Grandchildren Robbie (Joanna), Jon (Jessica), Jeremiah, Alecander, Jennifer (Kendall), Jessica, Jacynta, Janelle, Wyatt, Tyler, Tessa, Jate, Tasy, Lain, Lexus, Sierra, Cali, Ryker, Rylynn, Emerson, Hudson, Lucas and Grayson and Great-Great Grandchildren Lily, RJ, Arya, Ellie, Aletta Rose. Aunt Edith and Uncle Lyle will be dearly missed by their many nephews and nieces.

The family would like to thank the staff at Spencer House in Orillia for providing wonderful care to our parents during their short time in residence.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Carson Funeral Home, L. Doolittle Chapel on Thursday November 9, 2023 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. The funeral service for both Lyle and Edith will be held in the chapel on Friday November 10, 2023 at 1 P.M. Lyle & Edith will be laid to rest side by side at St. Andrew’s St. James’ Cemetery, Orillia.

If desired, memorial donations to the Diabetes Association, Kidney Foundation, RVH, Alzheimer Society of Ontario or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
