Remembering Marilyn Agnes Birkland

Of Oro Medonte and formerly Sauble Beach passed away in her home with family by her side, Sunday August 27^th in her 91^st year.  Predeceased by her two brothers Ken and Gordon Woodrow and loving husband Edward Birkland.  Greatly missed by her children, Wayne & Pat, Brenda & Brian, Sandra & Craig, Chris & Janice.  Marilyn was much loved by her six grandchildren, Amanda, Jason, Chris, Cori, Dawn, Breanna and her seven great grandchildren,  Ella, Ethan, Mya, Cyleigh, Mazyn, Addi and Kade.  The family are inviting friends to the Doolittle Chapel of the Carson Funeral Home 54 Coldwater Road, Orillia, Ontario 705-326-3595 on Monday September 11^th with visitation starting at noon and a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. The Family would like to extend their appreciation for the dedication of the health care teams: Dr. Tim Hillson, MD MA FRCSC,  Bayshore Home Health Team, Couchiching Family Heath Team, Couchiching Ontario Health Team (Couchiching Health @ Home), andSimcoe Muskoka Family Health Care. If desired memorial donations to the Orillia Native Woman’s Group (ONWG), Ontario Humane Society (OSPCA - Orillia branch), Canadian Diabetes Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Or please continue Marilyn’s tradition of knitting socks and mitts to be given to the community for this winter.
