Passed peacefully at Champlain Manor on Saturday August 26 at the age of 89. Joyce Howell (nee Surgenor) of Orillia, beloved wife of Larry (predeceased in 2016), loving mother of David Howell (Cindy) of Orillia, Brian Howell (Maureen) of Regina and Jeanne Howell (Ernie Taylor) of Orillia. She was loved by her grandchildren Nathaniel Howell (Toronto), Keenan Howell (Orillia), Bryn Lees (Joshua) of Nipawin, Saskatchewan, and Laine Wasyliw (Noah) of Regina. Cherished great grandmother of Zande and Nazarene, both of Toronto and Russel and Jacob, both of Nipawin. Joyce will be sadly missed by many other extended family and friends. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater Road east, Orillia (705 326-3595) on Thursday September 7, 2023 from 10 am, with the Memorial Service beginning at 11 am. Internment of the cremated remains will take place at St. Andrews St. James Cemetery, Orillia. If desired, memorial donations to the Sharing Place Food Bank, Orillia would be appreciated.
