Remembering Damian David Pizzuti

Damian David Pizzuti

May 27, 2022 – June 23, 2023

Cherished son of Kristen Cuppage and Marc Pizzuti

We are eternally grateful for the one whole magical year we spent with Damian, who touched the lives of so many in his short time with us. Though he endured so much, he never stopped smiling and his spirit lit up any room he was in. We are thankful for the boy Damian was. He was fun, intuitive, sweet, and forgiving. Damian radiated love and brought comfort to those around him. He captured the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. We are thankful for the joyful moments, spent cuddling and playing with mom and dad, watching Blue’s Clues, blowing raspberries, clapping, going to swimming lessons, and watching the mesmerizing spin of ceiling fans. Damian experienced so much love in his life. He is loved by so many friends and relatives.

We may never know why Damian chose us as his family, but we feel lucky to know him and love him.

Who's to say what's impossible

Well, they forgot this world keeps spinning

And with each new day

I can feel a change in everything

And as the surface breaks, reflections fade

But in some ways, they remain the same

And as my mind begins to spread its wings

There's no stopping curiosity

I want to turn the whole thing upside down

I'll find the things they say just can't be found

I'll share this love I find with everyone

We'll sing and dance to Mother Nature's songs

I don't want this feeling to go away

----Upside Down, Jack Johnson

Following a private service, a celebration of life will be held on Saturday July 8th, 2023 from 1-4 pm at the Quality Inn in Orillia. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SickKids Grief Support Program. This program provides assistance and counseling to families coping with the loss of a child, and supporting their efforts would be a meaningful way to honor Damian's memory.

Damian may no longer be physically with us, but his spirit and the profound impact he had on our lives will forever endure. Let us remember his infectious laughter, his radiant smile, and the love he shared. As we navigate the pain of his loss, may Damian's memory bring comfort, strength, and a reminder to cherish every precious moment of life.

Arrangements entrusted to the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Home 54 Coldwater Street E., Orillia, Ontario 705-326-3595.
