Remembering Allan Bruce May

Allan Bruce May passed away peacefully at Trillium Manor on Saturday, May 13th2023, in his 84thyear. He was pre-deceased by the love of his life, Barbara (nee Hutchens) May. He will be missed dearly by his sons: Brad (Colleen), Brent (Lana), and loving daughter Kirsten. He was a cherished grandfather to: Adam, Allana, Emmett, Jerritt, Jenna, Cora, Karly and Olivia, and great-grandfather to Jacob and Lucas. He is survived by his siblings: Joyce Wallace, Gord (Karen) May, and Nancy (Barry) May. His parents: Leslie and Edna (nee McFarlane) May of Orillia are pre-deceased.

Allan originated from the Cordova Mine area, where he developed a love for the outdoors that brought him to the Highland Hunt Club and McFarlane Hunt Camp. He later became a lifetime member of the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters.

He worked as a salesman for National Grocers for many years, before finding passion as a long-haul truck driver, later becoming an owner/operator and mentor to his son, Brent. The family would like to thank the Nursing Staff at Trillium Manor for their impeccable care in his short time there.

Cremation has occurred and a celebration of life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #34, Orillia, 215 Mississaga St. E., on Thursday July 6, 2023 from 4-7 P.M.
