Remembering Shauneen Marie Grotsch

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Shauneen Marie Grotsch (How) on May 12th, 2023. A gentle and loving person who is etched in our hearts and will be forever missed. Shauneen peacefully passed away with her family by her side in the early hours of Friday May 12, 2023 at Georgian Bay General Hospital at the age of 71. Beloved wife of the late Peter Martin Grotsch. Dear mother to Shannon Grotsch and Richard Grotsch (Cathy Loik). Proud Grandmother to Mathew Grotsch (Abigail Thoms). Sister to Bryan (Judy) How and Aunt to Crystina (Colin) Leonard and Michelle (Tim) Drambrowitz.  Shauneen was a long time resident of the Port Severn/Gloucester Pool Community and passionately gave back through her participation in the Baxter Community Volunteer Group. A longtime member of the Don Valley Power Squadron, Shauneen was an avid lover of life on the water and boating.  Although she tested her skills at a number of different opportunities, most notably she enjoyed her time as a real estate agent working for both HomeLife Experience and Remax Realty Specialists in Mississauga before her retirement.   At Shauneen’s request, cremation has taken place with the small gathering of family and friends (BBQ) to take place at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551.
