Remembering Carol Anne LeBlanc (nee Bingham)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Anne LeBlanc (nee Bingham). Carol passed peacefully, surrounded by family, on Tuesday May 2, 2023, at Georgian Bay General Hospital.

Carol is predeceased by her parents Anne and George Bingham, her brother Don (Leeanne) Bingham, sisters Dianne (Ross) Horne and Laurie (Brad) Henderson and her life partner Don Sylvester. Loving sister of Sandie (Roy) Betik, Bill Bingham, Barbara (Brad) Benford, Gary (Carol) Bingham, and Betty (John) Winpenny as well as her large extended family. Loving and devoted Mother to Bonnie and Son-in-Law Darryl, and Grandmother to Brianna and Damian Reiter.

Carol will be remembered in many ways but the boundless love that she showed to her grandchildren will be top of mind. Her caring advice, her unwavering support and her gentle presence will be missed. They also brought a special light to her life that would show in her face when she spoke of them. The bond that they developed will be forever treasured.

Carol was also one of nine siblings and was fortunate to be part of such a large close-knit family. Her parents, Anne and George, started the tradition of many family gatherings at the cottage that continue to this day. Memories of sing songs around the bonfire, cribbage tournaments, Thanksgiving dinners, family celebrations and impromptu get-togethers will be cherished. These events will also be remembered by her large network of friends who were like family to her. They would come from near and far to take part in the many Bingham traditions that Carol was so much a part of.

Lastly, Carol will also be remembered for her selfless care of her parents in their time of greatest need, her generosity and her positive attitude, even during her toughest times. She loved spending summer days tending to her garden, swimming at Balm Beach, and spending time with her beloved cat Orchid who provided her with much comfort and joy in her final years.

Cremation has taken place and a private interment of ashes will take place at a future family gathering.  Arrangements entrusted to Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551.
